Delete your account
How to delete your account in the app Silvra – Gruppen & Vereine, and what then happens to your data.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. In the app
- Open your profile in the app.
- If you want to keep your data, first tap “Daten exportieren” (export data). You get a JSON file.
- Tap “Konto löschen” (delete account) and confirm.
The deletion takes effect at once, on all devices, and cannot be undone.
2. Without the app
If you can no longer get into the app, write to info@silvra.net from your account’s email address with the subject “Delete account”. So that nobody can have someone else’s account deleted, we check that the address belongs to an account and ask if in doubt. We delete within one month and confirm it by email.
3. What is deleted
- email address, display name, profile picture, profile text, status and phone number
- the content of your messages and the files you uploaded
- your posts and comments in the “Aktuelles” (news) section
- your reactions
- your memberships in chats and groups and open requests to join
- sessions with IP addresses, push tokens and notifications
- your encryption keys
- settings, saved messages and blocks
If you are the only person with admin rights in a group, they pass to the member who has been there longest. If you are the last member, we delete the group with its messages.
4. What remains
- An empty account entry without personal details. Other people’s chats show “Gelöschter Nutzer” (deleted user) there, so that their chats stay readable.
- Your messages as empty entries in other people’s chats, with the time but without content.
- Votes in polls and responses to events, under “Gelöschter Nutzer”.
- Reports you made or that concern you, as long as we need them to resolve the matter and as evidence.
- An entry about the deletion in the audit log, for twelve months.
- Your data in our nightly backups, until it drops out after seven further backups, usually after one week.
What others have stored on their devices, such as messages from you, is there and not with us. We have no access to it.
5. More
Which data the app processes at all is described in the app’s privacy policy. We answer questions at info@silvra.net.
